Williams nearing decision
For Rivals three-star prospect Jordan Williams the recruiting process is getting close to coming to an end. Williams has cut his list down to just Oregon and Tennessee and made a visit to Oregon this past Saturday. Duck Sports Authority caught up with Williams recently to get his thoughts on his visit and when he may make a decision.
"It was a lot of fun. I got out of it what I needed to," stated Williams. "I really got to sit down and talk to coach Azzinaro and I really got to see what the strength coach was all about cause I know that those two are the two people I'm gonna spend the most time with.
"I know coach Azz is a real good dude," continued Williams. "Real down to earth. He's fired up. I can tell.
"Coach Rad (Radcliffe) has been there for like what, like 26 years? I've seen the players and I know he knows what he is doing."
Williams and his parents had a long trip from Gainesville (Fla.) to Eugene. They left Gainesville at 3:30 AM in order to arrive in Eugene at noon on Saturday. Williams said they were able to spend some time with the coaches, tour the facilities, watch the game, and hang out with the coaches and players before heading back to Florida on Sunday. In spite of the long trip, Williams said his parents also came away impressed.
"My parents thought everything was so amazing. All of the facilities and everything like that. They really, really liked Coach Kelly!
