Last year, Max Hersey and his University Place (Wash.) Curtis teammates lost to Skyline by 35 points in the quarterfinals of the 4A state playoffs. This year, the two teams will face off in the semifinals at the Tacoma Dome. Curtis shutout Auburn, 31-0, in the quarterfinals on Friday to improve to 12-0.
