Alabama State preview
Mississippi State will take to the hardwood for the fourth time in four days tonight taking on Alabama State at 7 p.m.
The Bulldogs are 2-1 during that span having won back-to-back games over North Carolina A&T and Nicholls State the past two days.
Tonight will be the third ever meeting between MSU and the Hornets. The Bulldogs hold a 2-0 edge in the series including a 76-67 win in Starkville in 2008. Ravern Johnson scored 21 points in that contest.
State also holds a 19-2 record against teams from the Southewestern Athletic Conference.
Rick Stansbury's squad is 6-2 on the year shooting 43.9-percent from the field and averaging 73.4 points. The Bulldogs are also knocking down 37.6-percent of their shots from downtown and hitting 70.7-percent from the free throw line. Mississippi State's opponents are shooting 40.9-percent against them and averaging 67.2 points.
