Address change helps Sentimore: More notes
Darrington Sentimore's journey to Tennessee has been anything but storybook. Originally from Norco, La., he signed with the Vols' arch nemesis Alabama out of high school before leaving the team last August and transferring to Gulf Coast Community College in Gulfport, Miss.
Now settled in Knoxville the 6-foot-3, 300-pound Sentimore is glad to be a Vol and happy to have a part of his time at Alabama here with him in Knoxville.
"I'm just happy to be here. Here with my coach Sal (Sunseri). He coached me at Alabama, but I'm happy to be here at Tennessee now," Sentimore said.
His first stop with the Crimson Tide, where he spent spent one season redshirting and the next as a backup along the defensive line, was the not the right fit, although he was able to learn under a future first-round choice in Marcell Dareus.
