It was quite a weekend for Upper Marlboro (Md.) Frederick Douglass' Demory Monroe. A cornerback who doubles as a track star, Monroe spent Friday and Saturday competing in the Penn Relays, where he helped his 4X100 relay team place 36th overall out of 800 squads. Then a day later, Monroe learned that he had his first scholarship offer for football.
