Edwards excited about Vol career

VolQuest.com One of the most persistent problems for Tennessee towards the end of last basketball season was a persistent problem in knocking down perimeter shots. Fans shouldn't expect for junior college transfer D'Montre Edwards to single-handedly solve that shortcoming, but there's certainly some hope that he'll improve the outside shooting situation when he suits up this fall.
Edwards (6-foot-6, 210 pounds) from Brevard C.C. in Melbourne, Fla., who signed with the Vols in last November's early period, is expected to alleviate the Vols perimeter shooting woes to some degree. However, he politely declines to be pigeon-holed as 'just a shooter.'
"I would definitely say that I'm a scorer but I don't think of myself as just an offensive player, not at all," Edwards said of his game. "I feel like I can put the ball in the basket, but I also feel like I'm a complete player, or at least that's my goal.
