Memphis' King talks Vols, top four
North Augusta, S.C.-- As always, the NIKE Peach Jam has featured an eye-popping collection of high school basketball talent this week. Standing high among all that talent has Memphis prospect Nick King, one of the most versatile forwards in the Class of 2012 King has been a driving force for his Bluff City Legends team during the highly competitive tournament.
King (6-foot-7, 215 pounds) is a smooth lefty who has the kind of all-around game that college coaches easily fall in love with. He's got a reliable three-point stroke, an impressive handle for a player with his length and he excels at getting into the paint where he's an excellent finisher at the rim.
For much of his recruitment Tennessee has appeared to be on the outside looking in, but thanks to the Vols' dogged efforts, King has taken a different view in the last month.
Rivals.com rates King as a four-star prospect and the No. 23 overall player in the Class of 2013.
