For virtually every head coach that Tennessee has had running its basketball program, 'cracking the code' on recruiting in Memphis has been a special challenge. Cuonzo Martin is making a run at reversing that historical trend, an effort that recently produced an unofficial visit from 2013 standout Nick King.

King and his entire family made the cross-state trek to Knoxville last Friday in order to visit with the coaching staff and tour campus on an unofficial visit before the Vols headed for a 10-day exhibition tour of Italy.

From the Tennessee perspective it was a large development to say the least. The trip was King's first visit to Knoxville and a sign that the Vols are legitimate contenders to land the player many feel is the top prospect in Memphis.
