Evaluating the newcomers

Game week is finally here and fall camp has officially drawn to a close. With that in mind, here's Volquest.com's look at each and everyone of the newcomers on Tennessee's roster, where they stand entering the season and what their prospects for playing time might be.

Kenny Bynum - The late signee definitely has the size that defensive coordinator Sal Sunseri wants in an inside linebacker, but whether or not Bynum has the speed and instincts is still an unknown. The Jacksonville, Fla. native had his pre-season cut short due to torn menicus in his knee. Bynum had surgery to repair the tear and will miss the season.

Darrington Sentimore - After a sub-par spring where Sentimore was out of shape and not very productive, the junior college transfer was the most consistent defensive lineman in fall camp and has earned a starting job at defensive end. Sentimore played much more physical this fall and show the ability to play both the run and the pass effectively.
