The Wolfpack secondary is arguably the strength of the team, thanks in large part to the presence of cornerback David Ammerson, regarded as one of the top NFL prospects in the nation at his position. Free safety Brandon Bishop is a proven performer with 33 career starts under his belt. NC State led the ACC with 27 interceptions in 2011, an incredible 13 of them pulled in by Ammerson, the second most in NCAA history.
