Offense fine with carrying load

VolQuest.com It's one of the sad ironies of Tennessee's 2012 football season that an admirably explosive offense has been all but overshadowed by what has a chance to be--statistically speaking--the worst defense in school history. That was never more apparent than last Saturday, when the Vols set a school record for total yardage in a game with 718, only to be outgained by three yards.
One might think that such a huge discrepancy between the effectiveness of the two units might have a chance to cause some friction in the locker room. That hasn't been the case, at least to this point, though it's hard to deny that the potential would seem to exist.
What most certainly exists for the offense is a sense of pressure every time they take the field, a feeling that if they don't put points on the board, they'll fall behind when the opposing offense gets a crack.
