Perhaps it was only fitting, that athletics director Dave Hart spent the entirety of Thursday night and early Friday morning in a hotel suite in Lexington, Ky. talking ball and interviewing his now new head football coach Butch Jones.

"I told him I was coming to talking to him and would talk all night if we needed to. I didn't mean for him to take it literally," Hart joked.

A marathon end to a marathon search. A search of nearly three weeks that saw Hart interview some four candidates face-to-face, was full of twist and turns, and unusual things including an in home visit in Louisville and an in-home visit in Stillwater, Okla. where Hart was indeed picked up at the airport by Mike Gundy, in an SUV.
