Jones hits his marks on day one
The kids didn't hesitate.
Not after a team meeting in which players exited the session and raved about their new coach on social media.
Not when Tennessee's 24th official head coach --- and sixth man to hold the title in the past 49 months --- audibled to his three sons inside the Peyton Manning Locker Room beneath Neyland Stadium to introduce themselves.
Not one of Jones and wife Barbara's three sons missed a beat, and neither did new hire Butch Jones on his first mostly full day as head Volunteer.
Jones donned a microphone from virtually the initial moment he landed in Knoxville from his previous post in Cincinnati, and he said exactly what Dave Hart, Jimmy Cheek and every Volunteers fan needed to hear: Jones had jonesed for this job.
