Tennessee head coach Butch Jones is continuing his quick work of assembling Vol staff. As we noted Saturday night, sources said Jones was entering Sunday with three positions left to fill.

One of those positions has been filled on the defensive side of the ball with former Auburn assistant coach Tommy Thigpen according to multiple sources. Thigpen was the safeties coach with the Tigers from 2009 through this season. Prior to that Thigpen was the linebackers coach at North Carolina from 2005-2008. His role at Tennessee is unclear other than it's as a defensive assistant coach.
