Bajakian preaches effort, tempo

VolQuest.com Now that all the drama and uncertainty over who Tennessee's next head coach would be and what his staff would look like has been put to bed, Vol fans can now focus on the serious business of wondering exactly what direction the new staff will take the team when it comes to style of play.
Butch Jones gave some early hints in his introductory press conference regarding the the style of 'X's and O's' he's bringing to town. Last week, offensive coordinator Mike Bajakian went into a little more detail regarding what the offensive side of the ball may look like under the new regime.
Like Jones, the first thing that Bajakian stressed when asked for a preview of what the Vols might look like offensively was the tempo the unit would operate at.
Playing fast is all the rage on the offensive side in college football right now, and Bajakian is an intense advocate of that style. He first saw the benefits of it nearly a decade ago when he and Jones first crossed paths professionally.
