Effort instrumental to DL development
It's usually the unsexy things that win games. Things like taking care of the ball, converting third-and-short, knowing your assignments, things of that nature.
One of those essential aspects to the game, taught since the youngest days of organized football, is effort.
But, when the Tennessee defensive line looked back on last year's fall camp earlier this month, they saw a lack of it, a piece of what led to the worst defense in the history of Tennessee.
And so the Vol defensive line went to work at making sure they don't look back on this season with the same thought.
