Tackles questionable; pre-bowl practice notes

GoldandBlack.com Adding insult to injury during Purdue's loss at Hawaii was the losses of offensive tackles Mike Otto and Sean Sester.
Sester missed most of the game after injuring his ankle; Otto hurt his knee and missed fourth-quarter action, a new experience for a player who'd played virtually every relevant snap of every game he's played in the past four seasons.
Both players are questionable for Purdue's appearance in the Champs Sports Bowl in Orlando on Dec. 29, against a yet-to-be-determined ACC foe, Coach Joe Tiller said Thursday.
"If we have them," Tiller said, "
my suspicion is that we won't have them in practice until the week of the game."
Tiller said the news has not been "good" on either player, each of whom started every game for Purdue this season on an offensive line that rarely had to substitute.
Sester, the coach said, has regressed.
