UCF got their quarterback. Joe Weatherford, who the Golden Knights offered early last spring, decided to end his recruitment on Tuesday night as he went ahead and made the commitment to head coach George O'Leary. It's a big pickup for the Knights who really needed to sign a top quarterback in this class.

Weatherford, who is rated three-stars, had visited UCF on Dec. 1 and had just gotten back from trips to Western Michigan and Toledo. He was looking to make a decision soon and he informed quarterbacks coach George Godsey, who recruited him, and O'Leary of his decision at around 10:30 p.m. on Tuesday night.
