Tide rebounds to beat LSU
Just three days after being throttled on the road against Arkansas in their SEC opener, the 14th-ranked Alabama Crimson Tide rebounded by topping the LSU Tigers in Tuscaloosa before an enthusiastic sell-out crowd.
"We're excited about the win," said Alabama head coach Mark Gottfried. "I'm really proud of our guys. After we had our slice of humble pie the other day it would have been easy to pout and moan but our guys came in to practice with a great attitude and it payed off tonight."
Despite a 24 point, 17 rebound performance from LSU star Glen Davis the Tide kept a handle on the Tigers for most of the night coming away with an impressive 71-61 win over the nation's 13th-ranked team.
