True freshman point guard Russell Westbrook is poised beyond his years. In his one start of the season at West Virginia, he was less than stellar. Many his age and beyond would have searched for excuses but the Tuesday after the game, Westbrook manned up didn't make excuses and learned from that game.

Westbrook earned the respect of many in the media that day. He shook off his West Virginia performance and has been steady off the bench for the Bruins. His dunk in the Indiana game fired everyone up.
