Poole gives USC visit high marks
Toccoa (GA) Stephens County three-star running back Tauren Poole, a soft commitment to Tennessee, took an unofficial visit to South Carolina over the weekend and came away impressed.
"I liked it a lot," the 5-foot-11, 200-pound Poole said. "Coach (Shane) Beamer showed me around, and we had a good time."
Poole, who rushed for almost 2,000 yards on 220 carries as a junior, offered a glimpse of his day in Columbia.
"Coach Beamer told me a lot about where their program is right now and where he thinks it's going to be," Poole said. "They're on the rise right now, and they're just looking for some players to get them over the hump. We looked at the facilities, like their new weight room and the stadium and stuff. That was all nice, too."
