Thursday morning sights and sounds
Arizona State had a technique-driven workout in Thursday's morning session. Several players had stand-out performances, most noticeably Rudy Burgess. There were a number of other interesting observations made by ASUDevils.com during the session. Here are some of them. By far, the two true freshmen who appear most ready to help the Sun Devils play right away are Kerry Taylor at wide receiver and Omar Bolden at cornerback. Bolden was elevated to first-team status less than a week into fall camp and on Thursday, coach Dennis Erickson called Taylor "as polished a receiver" as he's seen coming out of high school. Erickson said that it's a possibility Taylor could even start.
