2007 Men's Hoop Practice Report #5

WazzuWatch.com Only two practices remain for the WSU men's basketball team before they clash in Saturday's intrasquad scrimmage - and Wednesday's practice was a strong indication that the Cougars are ready to begin game play.
The guards opened up the practice with one-on-one driving lane drills. Two intriguing match-ups consisted of the combination of Kyle Weaver and Taylor Rochestie and the combination of Derrick Low and Stephen Sauls.
Weaver sank two three-pointers with a Rochestie hand in his way. But Rochestie would not go down without a fight. The point guard showed his ability to drive to the hoop, scoring twice with his left hand.
The match-up between Low and Sauls was more of a defensive battle. Neither guard was able to score in the drill.
