Auburn picks up big road win
Staff Reports
AuburnSports.com Led by big games from Frank Tolbert and Korvotney Barber, Auburn held off a late George Washington rally for a 74-70 win Sunday in the BB&T Classic in Washington, D.C.
It was the fourth straight victory for the Tigers (4-1), who were led by Tolbert's 24 points, on 10-of-16 shooting, and Barber's 21 points and nine rebounds.
"To come up here and play against a GW team that's really hungry for a win coming off a loss to No. 1 UCLA in their home city is just a really big win for us," said AU head coach Jeff Lebo.
