Video: Ealey showcases his ability
Chad Simmons
UGASports.com One of the first commitments for UGA's class of 2009 was a big one. Running Back WaShaun Ealey ran for over 2,900 yards and scored 58 touchdowns in 2007 and he will be wearing red and black in the future. He shattered the state touchdown record last fall, he ran over people, through people and past people all season and you can see him in action right here.
Prospect: WaShaun Ealey
High School: Emanuel County Institute (Twin City, Ga.)
Class: 2009
Position: Running Back
Vitals: 5-11, 195, 4.45
Offers: Georgia and Florida
Favorites: Committed to Georgia
The Skinny: Ealey is a tough runner inside the tackles and can bounce it outside for the big gain at any time. He has great vision, body lean and gets yards after initial contact. The initial burst is explosive and he can change direction well also. He is durable, dependable and he is always a threat to score a touchdown. His top end speed may not be to the level as others, but he seems to always be one step ahead of the closest defensive back.
We saw Ealey play on more than one occasion in 2007, so we will release more film throughout 2008, but here are some clips from E.C.I.'s win in the Georgia Dome over Clinch County.
