Updated Visitor Board: Star-Studded Guest List

It's the last visit weekend before National Signing Day and one thing is apparent, Lane Kiffin & Co. are swinging for the fences. We currently expect at least nine visitors in town, including the nation's No. 5 linebacker, Tana Patrick. It's the kind of guest list, that if things go well, could provide a huge boost to the 2009 Class.

The Class of 2009

Marlon Brown
Wide Receiver
6-foot-5, 205 pounds
Harding Academy, Memphis
Rivals.com Ranking: Four-stars, No. 5 wide receiver

Setting the Stage:It's been a long journey for Tennessee and Brown, with the potential pay-off finally coming this weekend. Brown is the only prospect on this list who has been a Tennessee target since early in his junior season, but his recruitment obviously took a turn with the staff change in Knoxville. Lane Kiffin has made Brown a priority and it seems as though the Vols are making up ground in the last month. The perception out there at the moment is that Georgia--where Brown made two follow-up unofficial visits after his official this fall--is in the lead, but Brown has not said that publicly. Tennessee has a big chance to turn things with the final visit of the process. Landing Brown would be a large statement about this staff's ability to not only deliver in-state talent, but it would also say something about them being able to crack the code in Memphis.

Other Visits:Georgia--Sept. 26; Ohio State--Oct. 10; Florida--Jan 9.; Ole Miss--Jan. 23
