Jupiter (Fla.) High's Cody Parkey, the No. 1 kicker in the country according to Rivals.com, was one of a handful of Auburn commitments on the Plains this weekend as the Tigers beat Louisiana Tech 37-13.

Parkey, 6-foot-2, 195 pounds, was there on an unofficial visit.

"It was a lot of fun, a good experience. I was glad to see Auburn win their first game," said Parkey. "I got there around noon and toured the campus a little bit and then went to the Tiger Den before the game. I got to talk to the coaches a little bit."

Parkey said the pregame atmosphere was just as impressive as the atmosphere during the game.
