Kiffin 'Blown Away By Hatred' Towards Crompton
Expectations of a Tennessee upset in Gainesville aren't exactly running rampant at the moment. Not with the Gators looking every bit the nation's top-ranked team and the Vols still reeling from a home-loss to UCLA on Saturday. In fact, there's more discussion around Knoxville this week about what should happen with the quarterback position going forward, a topic that Lane Kiffin is becoming increasingly well-versed in discussing.
Since anointing Jonathan Crompton as his starter Kiffin has gone to great lengths to inject as much confidence into the senior has humanly possible. All of his public comments towards Crompton have praised his work ethic, his attitude, his demeanor and most of all Kiffin's own belief that his quarterback had what it took to get the job done.
That road became infinitely harder to navigate in the aftermath of Crompton's three interception day against UCLA on Saturday, but Kiffin has remained unbowed in his devotion to his quarterback.
