What a difference a year makes

It wasn't visible on the nameless, black-and-orange jerseys that Tennessee's football team donned Saturday night inside Neyland Stadium, but the Vols wore 12 months' worth of history, change and progress.
Traditionalists like Gus Manning and Haywood Harris knew already that black jerseys were a fabric in the Volunteers' football history, but on this night they absorbed a greater symbolism than "Voloween" spooks.
