Defensive end Robert Ayers said that he hoped to see the defense make strides from scrimmage one to scrimmage two following practice on Friday. Saturday night at Neyland Stadium, it was the younger defensive ends that left the Shields-Watkins Field turf hoping that they had made an impact.
