Lane Kiffin will not be in the upper tier of salaries in the SEC, but his staff certainly will be as the University of Tennessee is opening its checkbook to start the new era of football in Knoxville.
Kiffin has a six-year contract that pays him an average of $2.375 million dollars from now till 2014. Next season Kiffin will make $2 million a year, which would put him in the bottom third and his salary will increase $150,000 each season.
