Season's fate rests with guards

Security personnel, as it does following every Tennessee basketball game, ringed the Thompson-Boling Arena court Wednesday night, when a member of the guard heard that LSU's Marcus Thornton had torched the Volunteers for 29 points. "Wow, another one," he said. The inference was clear: another singular performance had resulted in another galling Tennessee home loss, this one a 79-73 stunner to the Tigers.
