2013 Point guard talks Vol commitment

Tennessee came up short in their upset bid against Pittsburgh on Saturday afternoon, but the Vols ended the day on a high note. After the loss 2013 point guard Travon Landry delivered some good news to the staff in the form of a verbal commitment to join the Vols' program.

Landry (6-foot-0, 175 pounds) from Bob Jones Academy in Huntsville, Ala. made an unofficial visit to Knoxville on Saturday for the Pitt game and before heading home, let Cuonzo Martin know that he intended to be a Volunteer.

In getting his decision out of the way so early in the process and turning his back on other opportunities, Landry is making a statement that he has confidence that the rebuilding process currently underway in Knoxville is going to bear fruit.
