Four-star guard talks Vols
Dozens of high school hoops players descended on Knoxville this past weekend to take part in the KnoxVegas Heat AAU event. One of those players, Lancaster, S.C. shooting guard Sindarius Thornwell, is a prospect that Tennessee would like to welcome back to Knoxville on a more permanent basis.
Thornwell (6-foot-5, 180 pounds) was arguably the most gifted player in the field this weekend. A big-time talent with the kind of game and athleticism that should translate well to the next level, the lithe wing player is on his way to being one of the most hotly pursued prospects in the south.
Tennessee is one of the teams to have made an early impression on the recruiting front, at least in part because of their early entry into the race.
Rivals.com rates Thornwell as a four-star prospect and the No. 37 overall player in the nation.
