Memphis OL talks Vols visit

Tennessee wrapped up an impressive spring of getting prospects to campus by hosting a large group at last weekend's Orange & White game. Among the guests was offensive lineman Christian Morris from Memphis East high school, a prominent target in the Vols 2013 recruiting plans.

Morris (6-foot-6, 270 pounds) was making his first visit to Tennessee's campus, and he came away impressed by what the Vols had to offer in several different areas.

"I'm not going to lie, I was pretty ecstatic about the whole trip," Morris said in recapping his visit. "What stood out the most was the fans, how cool everyone was and excited just for the spring game. I loved that and I really liked all the orange and white."

Morris didn't arrive on his visit with a lot of firm notions about the Vols' program, and while he had more than a little interest in Tennessee has a college destination, that interest really hadn't reached what he would call a high level. After his trip though, Morris said that's all changed.
