Maryland DB talks Vols
Five-star corner Kendall Fuller is a well-known name in the college football recruiting world, but he's not the only reason Good Counsel High School in Olney, Md. has seen a steady stream of coaches flock through the halls this spring. Fellow defensive back Kirk Garner is also a highly-regarded prospect in his own right, making Good Counsel an attractive stop for coaches looking to restock in the secondary.
Garner (5-foot-11, 180 pounds) has been hearing from the Vols' steadily all offseason and had hoped to make it to Knoxville during the spring to check out practice and make an unofficial visit when his teammate Fuller made the trip.
"I wasn't able to come then like I had planned but I definitely plan on getting down there this summer," Garner said of his plans on seeing Tennessee. "I don't know that I'll come to camp in June, it will probably just be for a a day or two to make a visit and talk with the coaching staff, but I'll be down there this summer."
