Jones' search for a WR coach continues

The visit went well, but in the end the move didn't make sense for former Tennessee quarterback and current Southern California assistant Tee Martin, he told Martin turned down the offer to become a member for new Volunteers head coach Butch Jones' first staff.

"I just feel like we have a bright future," Martin said about the Trojans. "I made a commitment to my players at USC. It feels great to be wanted, but I feel like we are doing something special where I am and I do believe we have a bright future."

Martin quarterbacked the Vols to the 1998 National Championship and has had a successful stint in coaching after a short run in the NFL. Vol fans have hoped Martin would end up back in Knoxville since the Mobile, Ala., native started his coaching career. The Tennessee legend was recognized when he entered the terminal at McGee Tyson Airport on Monday morning after taking the red-eye flight. He was hit up for autographs and interviews while watching his son play a basketball game at Powell Middle School on Monday night. In between was a visit with Jones and his new staff.
