Jackson has seven starts and 33 tackles on the year but has not played since his career-high seven-tackle performance against South Carolina, which also included a key forced fumble.

Jackson was suspended for the Memphis game for a violation of team rules -- been reported as a failed drug test -- and he has missed the last two games awaiting a ruling on his involvement in an attempted robbery on Nov. 12 that ended the Tennessee careers of fellow freshmen Nu'Keese Richardson and Mike Edwards.

On the field, the Vols have certainly missed Jackson. Without their "last line of defense," Monte Kiffin's defense has struggled in stopping the big play. Against, Georgia, Alabama, and South Carolina, the Vol defense gave up just six plays over 20 yards and only one over 25 yards.

With Jackson serving his suspension, the defense has given up 13 plays over 20 yards and five over 25 yards.
