Are veteran Vols built for March?
With college basketball moving into the postseason--and meaningful--stage of the season, the tone of the games themselves shift a bit. Things like skill and pure individual talent still matter, but other, harder to details like veteran leadership and steady backcourt play take on added significance. In fact, it's one of the more widely held tenants of the sport that you won't go far in March without seniors and solid guards.
Having a dose of both on your roster is almost universally viewed as a pre-requisite to playing well in March.
If you believe in that formula, then this Tennessee team looks far more prepared to deal with the rigors of high-level tournament competition than they were a year ago.
