Vols look to turn it around tonight

Tennessee (10-5, 1-1) finds itself in the familiar position of needing to regroup after an unexpected loss before welcoming Auburn (8-5, 0-2) to Knoxville tonight. Saturday's loss to Texas A&M was the kind of head-scratching defeat the Vols have gained some experience in dealing with, and more often than not, they've been able to circle the wagons and bounce back.

loss to the Aggies was the third this season where the Vols have lost to decided underdogs and the second time it's happened on their home floor.

It was the kind of defeat that can have some far-reaching effects on things like NCAA tournament hopes. Further complicating matters for the Vols, in a league like the SEC with few opportunities for signature wins, the only antidote for cleaning up a mess like the current one is to start piling up wins in bunches.

That task begins tonight with Auburn's visit.
