Vols embracing underdog role

This time last week Tennessee (24-12) was heading for Dayton, Ohio (on a bus), with very little fanfare as part of the NCAA Tournament's 'First Four.' It's a totally different scene this week, with no shortage of hype for No. 11 seeded Vols as they roll towards Indianapolis and a date in the Sweet 16 with Michigan (27-8).

For a team that spent much of the season hearing criticism from fans that they were underachieving, the change their three game run has generated has been dramatic.

"Campus is buzzing. We got back at like 2:30 in the morning (from Raleigh) and there were about 100-150 people outside waiting for us. That was fun," Josh Richardson said of the reaction to the run over the last 48 hours.

"I would say everywhere we go we get high fives and pats on the back and it is great knowing you have a good support system behind you here."
