Once a receiver, former Vol Hancock now a giver

Anthony Hancock was known best for his receiving abilities while playing at Tennessee from 1978-81.

In fact, he was one of the founding fathers of the Wide Receiver U. fraternity that has been associated with the Vols' program for more than three decades now.

Hancock, 47, is still in Knoxville and still making a difference. Only he's doing more giving now than receiving.

He teaches special education at Bearden Middle School and remains heavily involved in the community, be it volunteering as a coach, officiating youth league football and basketball games or serving on a myriad of committees.

Molding children is his life - and his passion.
