Florida WR enjoys the Auburn experience

West Pensacola (Fla.) Tech receiver Lawrence Lee de-committed from Tennessee in early June and has wasted no time finding new interest in other programs.

On Thursday, the three-star Lee made a visit to Auburn and left with a solid first impression.

"It was a really good experience," Lee said. "I've never came up here and they showed me a lot of traditions which was really good. I met most of the coaches and I throw with Coach (Dameyune) Craig which was fun. Just met everybody and it was a real good experience."

The 5-foot-10, 163-pound Florida prospect spent most of his visit with co-offensive coordinator/receiver coach Dameyune Craig and started a foundation for a great relationship.

"He is a good guy and a good coach," Lee said. "Really laid back and he let's you know start forward what he likes about you and everything like that."

Lee believes an Auburn offer could come as soon as next week.

"Coach (Gus) Malzahn actually watched me workout today and he was giving me feedback and he said he would give me more feedback next week after something. They are going to let me know," he said. "I think it would be pretty big to me. I would love to come out to one of the games. I've never experienced that."

While Malzahn and Craig watched Lee during drills they pointed out what they liked in the 2014 prospect.

"He (Malzahn) said that he liked how I bring out the cuts and how I run after the ball," Lee said. "Just basically wide receiver things. Coach Craig said he liked the type of person I am. That was pretty cool."

Fresh off his de-commitment from Tennessee, Lee believes that the next time he makes his decision it will just come to him when it feels right.

"Like I told Coach Craig, it doesn't really have a time frame," Lee said. "Whenever I feel like it's the best time or whenever I'm most comfortable with it that's what I'm going to go with."

The No. 99 overall prospect in the State of Florida sees three schools standing out the most in no particular order: Auburn, Missouri, and South Florida.

Where does Auburn rank on that list for Lee? Pretty high.

"I like the tradition and just the coaches are really cool," Lee said. "I could probably see myself being here in a few years. Everybody just gives you that feeling. That cool feeling, it was real nice."

Lee plans to participate in Alabama's next camp next week.
