BREAKING: Rumph, Rocker in Knoxville

Tennessee’s staff continues to take shape under first-year coach Jeremy Pruitt, and sources tell VolQuest.com, that both Tracy Rocker and Chris Rumph are in town and appear set to take positions on staff.

Rocker is a former Georgia and Auburn defensive line coach, while Rumph has spent the last three seasons at Florida.

It’s unclear what positions they’ll coach next season. Both Rocker (Georgia 2014-15) and Rumph (Alabama 2011-12) worked with Pruitt previously as defensive line coaches.

On Thursday, VolQuest.com reported that Tyson Helton was set to take the OC job, while Will Friend will serve as the OL coach, with possibly other titles, too. Robert Gillespie will stay on staff and former VFL Terry Fair will serve as the secondary coach.

Per sources, Georgia linebacker coach Kevin Sherrer is set to be named Tennessee’s defensive coordinator.
