Cauthen checks out Vols

Despite the recent decommitment of Waxhaw, N.C., quarterback Austin Kendall, the Tennessee coaching staff will still have reason to stop by Cuthbertson High School over the next few years.
Not only is Cuthbertson home to the Rivals100 quarterback, but the school is also blessed with 2017 wide receiver J.T. Cauthen.

The 6-foot-3, 207-pound wideout already has nine offers from Clemson, Kentucky, North Carolina, N.C. State, South Carolina, Tennessee, West Virginia and several more.
He was on Tennessee's campus for the first time ever this past weekend and after hearing about the Vols from several other North Carolina prospects he had high expectations.
"I had heard positive things. I heard it was nice and it was beautiful. The facilities are great and I'm definitely coming back," Cauthen said.
Cauthen was most impressed with Tennessee's facilities.
"The atmosphere was great. It was beautiful and everything is just nice. The practice field, the facility, the stadium and everybody is just nice," Cauthen said.
During his visit Cauthen was able to spend time Vols' head coach Butch Jones and the head coach wanted to see him again.
"It was great. He said he wanted me to come back up and I'll definitely do that," Cauthen said.
Cauthen also paid close attention to wide receivers coach Zach Azzanni during practice and felt like he could fit in to the Vols' wide receivers corps.
"I could see myself playing for him and I like the way he coaches," Cauthen said.
Next up for Cauthen is a visit to Georgia April on 11.
