Dooley again searching for an assistant

For the 7th time since the end of the 2011 season, head coach Derek Dooley is conducting a coaching search as he seeks a replacement for secondary coach Terry Joseph who has resigned from Tennessee to take a similar position at Nebraska.
In Lincoln, Neb. Joseph will be reunited with defensive coordinator John Papuchis. Joseph and Papuchis were graduate assistants together at LSU. Joseph will also be reunited with Cornhusker head man Bo Pelini. Joseph worked for a year under Pelini when Pelini was the defensive coordinator in Baton Rouge.

For the last five years, Joseph has been side by side with Dooley as an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator.
On Wednesday, talks between Nebraska and Joseph heated up. Thursday, Joseph was offered the job in Lincoln and he he spent Thursday in discussions with both Pelini about the Nebraska job and with Dooley about Tennessee.
And earlier this afternoon, Joseph formally accepted the job in Lincoln. The move leaves Dooley with only Jim Chaney and Darin Hinshaw as the only two members of his original staff and a defensive staff that is completely new heading into spring practice on March 26th.
