According to ESPN, Tennessee baseball has the most loaded roster in the NCAA Tournament.
The site dove into who had the most top MLB prospects, regardless of class, headed into the regionals.
The result was the Vols as the clear-cut favorite.

ESPN listed six current Tennessee players as projected top-two round picks in the upcoming 2025 MLB Draft. This was LHP Liam Doyle, SS Gavin Kilen, 3B Andrew Fischer, RHP Marcus Phillips, 3B Dean Curley and RHP A.J. Russell.
It also listed true freshman Levi Clark as a projected top-two round selection in the 2027 draft.
Along with this group, the article noted there are multiple other players who are pro-caliber. This featured RHPs Tanner Franklin and Nate Snead out of the bullpen and freshmen RHP Tegan Kuhns and 2B/CF Jay Abertnathy as future candidates to break into the top two rounds.
"Before I started this process, I figured the Volunteers would win, and they did, carried by a really strong 2025 draft class highlighted by Liam Doyle -- who is projected to go No. 2 in my most recent mock," the article said.
"And Tennessee has even more talent than the names listed above. RHP Tanner Franklin and Nate Snead are two key bullpen arms who reach the triple digits and didn't qualify, while a number of other players could step up into top-two-round relevance with expanded roles next season, such as RHP Tegan Kuhns and 2B/CF Jay Abernathy."
The Vols now get the NCAA Tournament started on Friday when hosting Miami (OH). First pitch is scheduled for 6 p.m. ET and will air on ESPNU.
The winner of that game will meet the winner between Wake Forest and Cincinnati on Saturday at 6 p.m. The losers of the two games will meet in an elimination game on Saturday at noon.
The regional finals will begin on Sunday at 6 p.m. If it goes down to a final game, it'll be held on Monday with the start time yet to be determined.
