S&P Stock Report: Week 10

After another heartbreaker in Kentucky, Tennessee has dropped four straight games — including a 29-26 loss to the Wildcats last weekend.

Butch Jones' job security remains in serious flux, but the maligned head coach will be on the sidelines for the Vols as they try and end their losing streak with a home game against the Southern Miss Golden Eagles on Saturday night (7:30 p.m., SEC Network).

Jesse Simonton and Austin Price deliver their analysis in the latest edition of the S&P Stock Report.

STOCK REPORT: WEEK 10
⬆️ Ty Chandler. The freshman tailback took advantage of his opportunity against Kentucky, eclipsing his season total in rushing yards with a 120 yards on the ground and two touchdown in place of junior John Kelly.

⬇️

AD John Currie. Despite all the rumors, and stayed silent on Sunday and then only spoke up on Monday night after the #EmptyNeyland movement had truly gained some steam.

↔️

The uncertainty surrounding Butch Jones. Why? How? Will anything change next week?

⬆️

Quarterback Jarrett Guarantano. The redshirt freshman graded out well per Pro Football Focus after competing 18 of 23 passes for 242 yards against UK.

⬇️

Tennessee's pass protection + Gurantano's indecisiveness in the pocket. The Vols have allowed 19 sacks since JG took over as the starter.

⬆️

Tight end Ethan Wolf. The senior had three catches for 33 yards and another 25-yard pass wiped away due to penalty, as the TE was much more involved in Tennessee's passing attack last weekend.

⬇️

Tennessee's run defense. The Vols have allowed more than 270 yards on the ground in three of the last four games.
