S&P Stock Report: Week 11

Tennessee snapped its four-game losing streak last Saturday, beating Southern Miss 24-10 to keep its faint bowl hopes alive.

Butch Jones' hot seat hasn't cooled though, as the Vols are nearly 10-point underdogs at Missouri this Saturday (7:30 p.m., SEC Network).

⬆️ Nigel Warrior. The sophomore safety delivered one of the most complete performances of his Tennessee career Saturday, finishing with six tackles, one TFL and one pass breakup.

Tennessee's first down offense. The Vols continue to struggle on early downs, averaging just 2.2 yards on 24 first down plays Saturday.

Butch Jones. The treadmill continues to run, but status quo remains the same.

The defense's propensity to force turnovers. Bob Shoop's unit had just seven takeaways in the first six games but has equaled that total in the last three weeks, including two key turnovers last weekend.

The injury situation. The Vols are down several wideouts, eight offensive linemen, and their third-string quarterback was forced into action. By the end of the Southern Miss game, one quarter of the roster was unavailable due to injury.
