Wynn: "I just feel it at Tennessee"

Tennessee added its second commit Saturday following the Orange and White Game, as 2019 Chattanooga athlete Cameron Wynn verbally pledged to the Vols over Vanderbilt and others.

Despite only being a sophomore, Wynn said he'd been feeling the Vols for a while and decided today was the day to end his recruitment.

“It wasn't just today. It's been on my mind for a while," Wynn offered. "They showed me everything I wanted to see from a football, school, family standpoint. It's all about family and building relationships. I love the atmosphere and everything about it.

"Football wise I like their up tempo offense and what they are building. It feels different from other places that I have visited like Alabama. I just feel it at Tennessee."

Wynn also credited a lengthy lunch conversation with wideouts coach Kevin Beard as a difference in his recruitment.

"I was upset about coach Azzanni leaving, but I had a great visit with coach (Kevin) Beard," Wynn explained. "It wasn't just about football. Everything he talked about football he turned into real life. He teaches football, but he reaches out to you in other ways.

“I felt really comfortable with him after having lunch together. We talked an hour or an hour and a half."

The 5-foot-11, 190-pound Notre Dame standout also held early offers from Vandy and Florida Atlantic.

Wynn is Tennessee's third commit in the 2019 class, joining Independence receivers Kendrell Scurry and TJ Sheffield.

As a sophomore, Wynn did a little bit of everything for Notre Dame, leading the team in passing (723 yards and 11 touchdowns), while also rushing for 327 yards and two touchdowns and catching four balls for 79 yards and a score.
